Whirling By

The days and weeks are just flying by, I'm already on my 6th week of classes! I can't believe that we've been in MI for four months! Yesterday marked our 4th month anniversary of living with my parents. R and I went to the storage unit on Sunday and I walked in and felt myself getting choked up when I saw all our things. I miss having all our things and our own place so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're pretty much living out of suitcases (not literally) but we don't really have anywhere to put our clothes and our things are just stuck here and there and everywhere. Let's hope something comes up soon because I'm going to be so depressed if we don't have our "own" place for Christmas.

Thanksgiving isn't going to be the same because R refuses to cook if we don't have our own place. He doesn't want to cook in someone else's kitchen without all his gadgets and kitchen toys. Thanksgiving was always R's special holiday. He meticulously plans ever dish that he's going to make and pours over the November issue of Bon Appetit the month before. He orders meat in from other states because he can't find them around where we lived and starts about a week before the meal, "prepping" We've shared the meal with friends, my uncle, and just the two of us, but for the past three years he's cooked. Thanksgiving isn't going to the same this year and it really makes me sad that we won't have "our" special holiday this year.

Sorry for the downer post! Things are going well otherwise, just busy! I'll try to look on the bright side and keep praying. Maybe there is that perfect job out there that will be a perfect fit for R, we just have to be patient.
