SO NICE!!!!

I am loving every minute of our much needed short vaca to Nashville. I've been able to sleep in, work out, take naps, get school work done, and visit sites too. Last night R and I had our event at the Wildhorse Saloon. It was so much fun. They had a band called 32 Below, line dancing lessons and food and drinks. We had a great time! Tonight is the awards banquet. R get's a huge award and we get a nice plated dinner. I'm kind of depressed that tomorrow it all comes to an end, but oh well.

R is at a session right now and then when he gets out we are going to get some food as an appitizer because dinner isn't until 7pm. There is a Melting Pot within walking distance so we think we are going to enjoy some fondue. We've had such a great time and it's so nice to be away from Little man. It's weird because I miss him but not that much. I check in everyday and we talk to him on the phone. I know he's having a great time with grandma so I'm not stressing about leaving him. I feel like I need some time away from him every once in awhile. I feel like that makes me a better mother. I so needed this trip because I was going a mile a minute and was ready to lose my mind.

Nashville is a great city. We had the best BBQ at Rippy's on Sunday night. We went there last year and watched the Superbowl so we decided to do it again this year. Not too many people, great food, and a huge projection big screen TV. Afterwards we went to a dessert and drinks reception. It was in the Board chairs suite. R and I had a drink and a piece of carrot cake, mingled with people, and had a great end to our first night here.

We leave the hotel tomorrow at around 8am so we're going to have an early breakfast at the restaurant in the lobby and then head to the airport. R and I are on seperate flights because he booked his early and I waited to book mine. We get back around 4pm tomorrow so we'll hopefully beat rush hour traffic. At least the Superbowl craze is over so we'll be able to take the turnpike home. I'm so thankful for having this time to recooperate and rest up. We have a busy next couple months and I know things are going to be beyond crazy!
