Three Day Weekend!

I am so glad that I have Monday off for President's Day! The daycare Little Man goes to is closed for staff development so him and I are going to spend the day together. I am going to take him to get his two year old pictures done, hopefully it won't be busy! I think I'm going to go to Gymboree tomorrow to find a cute shirt for him to wear. I can't believe that he's going to be two in two weeks!

So I busted butt at work this week, grading, conferences, trying to make myself feel better about the fact that the FCAT is coming up. I always get this feeling around this time that I haven't done enough for the kids and that my teaching wasn't up to par. I think about things that I should have done differently, or things I should have done more of. As much as I just want to forget about it and live my life, these children mean the world to me and I want to see them pass this test so they can go to fourth grade. I hate seeing the family problems and situations that they have to deal with. I know that I make such a big difference in their lives so it weighs on my mind heavily. FCAT is in 4 days, wish me luck!

R, Little man, and I are going to an art festival on Sunday providing the weather is okay. It's pretty cold down here but we're used to it and it's a nice break from the heat. I like when we get to wear warmer clothes and I'm not sweating to death. I have a paper to write for class tomorrow and some reading to finish up along with a discussion question to post. I'm getting the hang of school I just wish that I had more time to devote to doing the optional readings and projects ,and extra credit. They always use the line "you get out of it what you put into it" and I agree but what if you want to put more into it, but you just can't find the time, energy, or effort, due to working full time, being a mother, wife, and trying to find time for yourself???? I did get my grades back though and I got two 4.0's and a 3.5 for my papers and the project, and a 4.0 for my discussion postings. Hopefully I can pull 4.0's in these classes so I don't ruin my GPA.

I've been having even less time to work on school and time for myself because I've been picking Little man up right after work instead of coming home first to change, read e-mail, etc... On Wednesday it took me 1.5 hours round trip to go pick him up, it's a total of five miles, yes you heard me correct, five freaking miles. I could have walked there faster!!!!!!!!!!!! Since that day I've been going right after work to avoid the mysteriously heaving traffic that we've been having. I've been pretty tired this week!

Oh and I'm gaining some weight back because I haven't had much time to work out. I've also been eating like crap, tons of candy for Valentines. Hopefully I can get back on the wagon and drop some pounds!!!!!!!!!
