Oh What To Do??
So I probably didn't even mention this on the blog but I applied for another job on Wednesday (well, mailed my stuff) for a long term sub position for a fifth grade class in a small down in south western Michigan. I got an e-mail tonight giving me more information and pretty much telling me that I was being seriously considered for an interview. The woman had some concerns about where I currently live because it's 94 miles away (we would move if I got the job) and then explained a little more about what it entailed. The pay scale would end up after 61 days at $170 per day with benefits. However, I'm just not sure what I should do. I'm really interested but I am taking three master's classes, just scheduled my case study students and volunteering at the local elementary school, started Little Man in music class, among a bunch of other things.
I just don't know what to do. Part of me would love to go and interview just to get some experience because it's been so long, but I would hate to lead the school on that I was interested and then say "sorry, no thanks." I mean the woman was totally honest and told me the whole deal up front. Also, R has his interview this week at the university, which mind you is NO WHERE near this school district. The position also would not be guaranteed to continue for next school year. It's a very small district though and the thought of having a job makes me so excited. The bad thing is that R probably won't find out about his job for a long time, what if he doesn't get it and I could have had this one??? Stuff like this always seems to happen to me!
The only reason I applied for this job is because it's close to where R's sister lives and she approached him last week wondering if we would be interested in her and her husband's house because they are looking at moving to a new house and renting theirs to us. R did apply for a job in that city but hasn't heard anything. We always said that we would move to where ever one of us got a job but didn't really consider that opportunities could arise at the same time and timing could be tricky. Oh what to do??? I'm supposed to e-mail or call the woman on Monday, so I have 2 days to figure out what to say. AHHH

I would probably take the job. Living in your sister in law's house would mean you wouldn't have to sign a lease, right, so if your hubby got a different job with better pay in another city you could just move again. You could always get your son set up in a class somewhere else, and maybe you could change your case studies to the school you'd be working with.
