Eventful!

So we had a playdate at the neighbors house this morning and that was really fun because it got us out of the house. The windchill was zero today and so playing outside wasn't really an option. It makes the day go by so much quicker when we get together and let the kids play for a few hours, not to mention, it's interaction with another adult around my age that's also a SAHM, so we have a lot in common!

On to the really exciting part of the day......the fire on the stove! I know this is terrible but sometimes I put water on to boil and then run around and try to multi task to get a little more done in the day. Well R let something boil over the other day and didn't clean, I had totally forgot, and the burner started on fire. Little man said, "what's that smell" and I didn't think anything of it. Upon entering the kitchen there was a small, albeit growing fire on the stove. I tried a couple things and finally resorted to the fire extinguisher, which can I say make a huge mess. Needless to say the fire got put out and then I had a huge mess to clean up. I still managed to clean it all up, remake Little Man's dinner, and make our dinner all before 7pm when I had to start tutoring. The fire happened about 5:20pm so I was pretty happy.

On Friday we are going on an outing with the neighbor to this huge indoor play area so I'm pretty excited about that because it's been so cold playing outside hasn't really been an option, oh and it's also been raining, crazy weather!!!!! It will be nice to actually go somewhere during the week. Apparently, it's all kid friendly, parents just sit back and keep an eye on their kids, and there's just tons of equipment for them to play on. After that Little Man should be worn out and expended a lot of his energy.

One of these days I'm going to have to revisit my resolutions (goals) to see how I'm doing. I see the scheduled outage is about to begin so I'd better finish up here :o)

We got to an indoor play area like that a lot, and it is so much fun! Lila loves it, and you really can just sit back and watch (sort of).
