I Love Mornings
I've definitely become a morning person since college. I was always the first person at work in the mornings so I could get all my stuff done then and not have to stay late after school. I loved the idea that I would get to drink many cups of coffee when I woke up and eventually my 4:45am (or even earlier) alarm did not bother me anymore. I always LOVED my drive to work in the mornings because I got to listen to my favorite morning show on the radio, drink my coffee and had the car to myself to think about my day or just be by myself.
I still love mornings although I definitely sleep in much later than 4:45am and my days are much different from those when I used to work. Though, I love watching the sun come up, drinking my decaffeinated green tea, and checking my e-mail and then preparing breakfast. It's definitely a different routine, and sometimes I miss my working routine, however, I've come to enjoy this one too. It's taken a long time for me to figure out how to manage all the household chores because things get messed up much more since we are here all day but slowly I'm developing routines and managing to get everything done.
I joined Op.rah's book club event and last night was our first online class. Unfortunately, I had to stop watching because my video feed kept stopping and I was missing more than I was getting. I'm going to try to rewatch it today. When it started off I was not having problems but then after about 30 minutes into it kept messing up, so hopefully I'll get to successfully watch it today without any problems. What I saw of it was very interesting and I'm looking forward to being a part of this event. We have questions to answer every week and then you can actually ask live questions during the class and if yours is chosen then they will discuss it during the class, so it's pretty cool. The book is called "A Ne.w Earth" by Eck.hart Toll.e and so far it's been very interesting. I'm almost done with it but it's a very deep book so rereading and taking the class together will be necessary for me to really incorporate the teachings.
Oh I almost forgot the best part of my morning. My desk with computer sits in our front bay window so I can see the street and all the houses across from us. This guy across the street was backing out of his garage and hit his three garbage cans and knocked them all over. It was pretty funny. Then out of my peripheral vision I saw something fly (meaning that it was going really fast) by the window, it was a rabbit hopping at the speed of light across our yard, the street and into the neighbors yard. It was pretty cute. So in a matter of two minutes I definitely had a smile on my face to start the day. Oh and yeah for sunshine!!!!! Although the 50 degree temps yesterday were nice, but when it was paired with pouring rain, it wasn't really that enjoyable. Have a great day!!!
