Some Explanation
Thanks for all of your comments! I think that the thought on inducing me before my due date was because I'm already half way there. Since I'm dialated 4cm, 75% effaced, and the baby is +2 station he feels that it's better to induce early rather than wait because apparently they don't allow you to go too much over your due date if you are having a VBAC. R feels as though we should wait too so I am going to think about things more today and keep praying he'll just come on his own. The problem is that because of labor day weekend the week is cut short and then since my 41 week mark would be on Tuesday the 9th with the weekend right before it doesn't give too many open days to go in for induction if I were to wait. Then we have to work around the dr. that I don't know being on call. The practice went from 5 dr's down to 3 so they got this extra dr. to take call which would be a total stranger so they don't want to schedule me on a day he's on call because I've never even see the man before.

Oh what a frustrating situation to deal with. I'll pray for you that your little one decides he's ready before Friday!
I know what you mean in your previous post about preferring doctors to take charge and actually use some of that medical knowledge they spent 8+ years gaining. Sometimes as patients we have to do all the legwork it seems! Anyways, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts that this all works out!!
Thanks for the explanation :) I told my hubbie how your doc wanted to induce you before your due date when your trying to VBAC....he was irate and it became quite the conversation over dinner. It's so sweet to see him get worked up over Dr.s pushing their agenda's over women's instincts.
I hope the baby comes on it's own too and you won't have to make any decisions, but just go with your body.
i'm praying your little one shows before Friday. I know with my last 2 it was just out of convenience that my ob induced on the days he did. here's for natural painful, prayers in the next 2 days!
Just do what you really think you should do. We're not in your position, and there's no way for any of us to know what we'd do in your position. Good luck!
4 cm dilated?? Well golly, I didn't know that.
I apologize for being so irate.
I still stand by what I said about Pitocin. The Devil!
I'll be watching for news of the baby's arrival and in the meantime...here's hoping he comes SOON.
