40 Days!!??!!
This pregnancy has flown by, though it seems like it's been forever all at the same time. I think because I found out so early it's seemed much longer than Little man's, but time flies so quick I can't believe it's ~40 days away. It doesn't look like the nursery will be completely ready because of our crib being recalled. The process is probably going to take longer than a month. The great thing is that we get a brand new crib and baby boy will be in the bassinet his first couple months anyway so it's not like we need the crib right away anyway. I think I'm nesting a little so I'm itching to get the room complete.
I got my feedback from my TA yesterday and I needed to do some work on my synthesis page of my website. My grade was a 3.5 and so I worked for a couple hours yesterday revising and editing my synthesis so I could resubmit it for a higher grade. I'm hoping that I hear something back soon and that it's an e-mail telling me that I've earned my 10th and final 4.0 for my master's degree.
My throat is still on fire and my nose is stuffy so sleeping has been more difficult. I'm actually not having a hard time sleeping because of the pregnancy this time so that's been a nice change. With Little man I would wake up with my hips aching and I would have to get up and walk up and down the hallway during the night because I was so uncomfortable. I'm sure my huge "C" body pillow is the main reason why I'm sleeping so well. Also, I think that the fact that I started this pregnancy almost 10 pounds lighter has made a huge difference. I don't feel like a great big blob which is how I felt last pregnancy towards the end. Although, we do still have around 6 weeks to go. I've been walking 1-2 miles per day and staying a lot more active. I need to start fitting yoga into my schedule!
Little man is calling so I'll write more soon!

Glucose Test
I had my glucose test this morning. I was very nervous because when I had mine with Little man I was down in bed feeling so ill afterwards and I don't think I got up until the next morning. I had R stay a little later this morning so I wouldn't have to take Little man with me. I got up at 5:30 and got ready so I could be at the lab by 6am. I was very hungry on the drive there so I was very worried that the rest of the day was going to suck. I drank the new and improved Dext.rose which wasn't fizzy at all and fruit punch flavored, which was a million times better than the syrupy orange, fizzy crap I had to drink last time.
I returned to the waiting room at 6:15am and then the wait began. I brought some school reading to do because I had an hour to kill and it worked great to pass the time! At 7:12 I went back and she got me all set up and drew my blood. When I went in the first time I discussed with her what happened to me last time and she said that I needed to eat immediately afterwards and be sure that I had protein. I think that was my mistake last time, I'm pretty sure I probably had carbohydrates. So I called R on the way home and had him cook me two scrambled eggs. I proceeded to add two pieces of peanut butter toast and milk along with my eggs and I've felt great. I've been sure to stay away from anything sweet and load up on protein.
The main problem I'm having today is that I'm so tired from waking up at 5:30am. I have so much to do today to get ready for our Chicago birthday surprise. I'm glad I don't tutor tonight although I still have a lot to accomplish. I'm thinking about taking a little nap and then being super productive this evening. Tonight I need to get all my freezer meals put together and in the freezer so everything stays relatively fresh. Yesterday I did one, BBQ Pulled Pork, it was really easy and I ended up getting three meals from it. We ate it last night and then I had two huge portions for the freezer so I'm sure we'll actually get more like 4 meals out of it. Tonight I'm preparing Sloppy Joes, Teriyaki chicken, Salsa burgers, Meat loaf, Dijon Pork, and Caribbean Jerk chicken. Wish me luck!

Busy, Busy, Busy
I've been meaning to blog way before now but it seems as though something always comes up when I sit down to start writing. We had a busy week last week, went to the fun indoor play place and then had a little Valentine's party, in between those events we were cleaning, baking, and doing our day to day things. Really nothing interesting has been happening. My mom comes this week because I have my dr. appt on Thursday. Little man and I are going back to stay with my parents for awhile just for a little change of pace. It gets super boring doing the same stuff over and over, so we need a change of scenery. Plus it's my mom's birthday so we are going to celebrate and go out to dinner.
R is sick again and Little man is fighting a little cough and cold. I started to feel like I was coming down with the same thing but have quickly gotten better which is good. Hopefully R can get well soon! He's been doing really well taking vitamins, eating really good and making time to work out, yet he keeps getting sick. I'm sure work, stress, and his long drives home in the snow have been wearing though. I cannot wait for spring!!!!!! Today it was near 50 degrees and raining, but then it's getting cold again and we are supposed to get ice and snow. It's that same stupid cycle over and over. The months are flying by though so spring won't been too long. I can't believe we are already over half way through February.
Can I just say that I have the best neighbor ever! T gave me a HUGE garbage bag full of maternity clothes. I seriously have enough to not wear the same outfit twice in a three month period. She is done having kids and her sisters haven't gotten pregnant yet so I'm going to be using the clothes and returning them at the end of the pregnancy. I'm so greatful that she was so generous! I ordered some but we don't have a lot of extra money to buy very much so this really helps out. I'm actually returning a few things I bought because they were too big or I didn't like the look. I know I'm probably going to kick myself for saying this later on, but I'm sorta excited about being pregnant during the summer. I like the idea that I can wear skirts, shorts, and dresses, it just seems easier than trying to pile on long sleeves and long pants. Like I said I'm probably going to kick myself for saying it, because it will be so hot, but as of right now I love the idea of the clothes I'll get to wear and the fact that it will be nice outside so that I can get consistent exercise.
