Sick and Busy
Yes, you heard me correct....I'm sick. I don't usually get sick ever, but I'm fighting a sinus cold and sore throat. Go figure, it's the weekend before the FCAT and I'm sick. Tomorrow I'm going to take Claritin in hopes that I won't be blowing my nose ever two seconds and interrupting the kids testing. I feel a little better today and R wants me to try this salt water nose flush thing that he bought and seems to like a lot, but I'm nervous. I hate water in my nose and it just doesn't sound fun. He heard about it on NPR though so it's got to be reputable.
I wasn't really able to do much school work this weekend. Today I managed to work on my Critique introduction at Starbucks for an hour and 20 minutes. I wanted to get through that so I could finish the rest of the paper tomorrow and have the rest of the week to revise. I have three articles to read for my debate discussion this week, I'm the moderator. Then I also have a speech on Constructivism to write this week. It's going to be a busy week!
R's sister and fiance come on Friday so I have to get everything done before they arrive. Little man turns 2 on Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're having a Thomas the Tank Engine birthday party for him at daycare and then a little party on Saturday here at the apartment. R is making him a Blue's Clues cake. I have the afternoon off on Friday so I'll have time to get everything ready. We are getting a cupcake Thomas cake. They are so cool! They look like a cake on top but it's actually cupcakes frosted over to look like a cake. We're getting balloons and little gift bags full of I don't know what yet, all Thomas themed. We're actually leaving Little man with a babysitter on his birthday, how bad of parents are we??? R bought basketball tickets for his sister and her fiance and us for Friday night and wasn't thinking about the fact that it was Little man's birthday. It's okay because we'll have his party at school and then on Saturday.
I hope all my kids do well this week and I hope that I will get all my work done and not be too stressed out. Next week is spring break from my master's classes so I'm looking forward to being half way done!!!!!!!!!!!!
