Plugging Away

After this week I will technically be half way done with my class. I had to drop my second one because I didn't have two students to work with. I added it next spring though so at least I will have some time to line up the kids. I wish I would have known ahead of time because I probably could have found some kids to work with.

Little man had his third swimming lesson today and he was a little spit fire because daddy came to watch and take pictures. R was going to take him in the pool but he was rather sunburned from my great attempt at covering him in sunscreen. I guess it either washed off or I am really bad at puttin on sunscreen. He's going in with him on Thursday. He still doesn't like going under water too much but I give him LOTS of praise and try to build up his confidence. I don't want him to be scared to go under.

We had a nice time at the cottage weekend with the whole family! Most everyone was there and it was nice and hot. I wish we could have stayed the whole week but unfortunately I'm attached to my computer because of the online class. I just had to read Charlotte's Web and Secret of the Andes. I actually just skimmed Charlotte's Web because I've read it a million times but Secret of the Andes was new and I didn't really enjoy it so much. It won the Newbery award in 1952.

R and I ran 5 miles on Saturday and have been following our training program pretty well!!! We are training for a 15 mile trail run in September. I still can't imagine running 15 miles but we do still have 2 months of training so hopefully I'll start to get ahold of exactly what that means :o) Running feels good and it allows me time to think while getting a good workout. Tomorrow is another 5 miles but it's going to be tricky because my parents aren't here to watch Alex. We have the jogger but it doesn't work so well on dirt roads. Oh have I failed to mention that we are in the middle of BFE and yeah I have to run on dirt roads because it's such a desolate area there is no need to pave, haha.

The house was completely clean when we arrived home yesterday afternoon and somehow it's already trashed???????? It's majorly bothering me so I have to get going picking up everything and finishing up laundry. Hope everyone had a great 4th!
