Tough Day

Little Man has refused to use the potty today. We still set him on it a couple times per day but he didn't do anything. This potty training deal is so much organization on my part and I'm not doing very well. Part of the issue is trying to find the time to work in potty breaks. He's so smart and capable but he just is stubborn. On top of that the weather got really cold this week! It's in the mid 60's and I'm freezing. Well not to mention it's really windy and rainy. It's the cold type of rain too, so it's apparent that fall is coming!!! I have nothing against fall and actually quite enjoy the season except it means that it's one step closer to the bone chilling season of winter!

Good news....I got Little Man signed up for music and it actually doesn't start until next week so we will hopefully get his materials on the first class. I was going to do Mondays at 10am but then I got to thinking that it's a 30 minute drive home and the class lasts 45 minutes so that would go past lunch time. I like to try to keep him on the same schedule because he seems to do better with structure. The Tuesday class is at 9:30am so we'll get home in time for me to make lunch and then he can eat on time. Plus it will break up our morning nicely. Tomorrow story hour at the library starts and that's from 10-11. He's actually supposed to be 3 1/2 in order to go but they are letting him go as long as I stay with him. It will at least give him interaction with other children and I'm sure that he will have fun. I've noticed that he actually behaves better if there are older children playing with him because he looks up to them and doesn't try to steal their toys or push their buttons because he knows they are bigger than him.

School is going okay. I had to watch Charlotte's Web (1973 version) last night for my children's lit class and then tonight I have to watch the 2006 one with the real animals. I have a motivation assessment due tomorrow for my other class which I have yet to start, that's my task for tonight! Then for my third class I have to set up a time to meet with the elementary principal so I can get some volunteer hours in and find a couple of students that I can work with for my case studies. I'm a little behind on that!!!!! I have to have them identified by next Tuesday. I kept putting it off because the school year just started and I didn't want to bombard the principal right when school started.

Well that's an update as to what's going on today. I'm unusually tired today and really would like to take a nap. Unfortunately I wasted my break time when Little Man was sleeping finishing an assignment due today and watching part of "You, Me, and Dupree" I love Kate Hudson, but yeah the movie isn't that great.
