Potty Training

So things are going pretty well with potty training. Today Little man went poop on the potty!!!!!! He did it once a long time ago and it was just a fluke because that was back in August and we haven't seen any since. We've got it to where he's wearing underwear all the time except nap and bedtime. He has just been going poop during nap when he has the pull up on but today he came running out of his room after nap saying "mommy poop is coming, poop is coming." So we ran to his potty and he actually went a little bit. R told him that if he poops in the potty he can play the Mario computer game with him before bed. We still have accident days but overall I think we are on track for being potty trained before his third birthday!!!!

I can't believe that Christmas is a week away! I'm very excited! We have Christmas at my grandparents house with all my aunts, uncles, and cousins this Sunday and then just our family present opening on Christmas eve. This is when we are going to open all but Santa gifts with just Little man, R and I. My parents and brother are coming Christmas day and we are doing the rest of the presents. Then on Friday we are going up to R's parents for Christmas up there. It's going to be a busy time! R and I decided that it wasn't worth trying to find a babysitter for New Year's eve, especially because you can never count on the weather being nice so we are going to do our typical stay in, make dinner, and snuggle on the couch watching the ball drop. It's sort of a tradition and I think I'm too old for NYE parties. I can bearly stay awake in my pj's at home to watch the ball drop, let alone drink heavily all night and then have a hangover the next day, no thanks.

I'm going to test on Friday to see if our first month's attempt at babymaking was successful or not. Some days I feel like I could be pregnant but other days I don't feel like I am. I'm certainly getting my hopes up and I'm sure that because of that it will take awhile. I would love to find out I am so I could wrap up a special gift for my grandparents announcing that their second great grandchild would be arriving in 2008, but we'll see if that works out or not. Then again, I don't want to announce too early just in case anything were to happen. I'm really bad at keeping secrets though and they would probably figure it out if I wasn't drinking, not that I'm a drunk, but we usually have a glass of wine with Christmas dinner, especially now that my cousin's fiance works for a beer distributor.

Ok, well I hope all of your pre Christmas preparations are going well!! I really wanted to get some baking done but it seems as though I'm running out of time so who knows if I'll get to that or not.
