My Appointment and an Update
So I went to my appointment today hoping that they could do something to speed up going into labor but apparently they are not allowed to do anything until I'm 39 weeks. The dr. thought that we would still be covered by insurance after my husband was done working because they covered me the whole pregnancy. Turns out that's not the case and my 6 week check up would be around $250. I was 3-4 cm dialated, 75 effaced, and the head is still "right there." I left the appointment pretty down. I won't be 39 weeks until August 26th which doesn't leave a great deal of time to deliver and be sure we can make it to the baby's first check up. Still though I was relieved in the fact that 39 weeks still fell in August so we did have the comfort that the birth would be covered. I was proud too that I was able to keep composed while explaining the store to the dr and woman checking with the insurance company.
On the drive home R texted me that he's getting paid and going to have benefits through September, with the possibility of benefits through October. That just goes to show you that things are totally screwy on their part. They wouldn't give him anything if it was actually a problem with his job performance. It's a pretty unethical situation and all I know is that I'm glad he's getting out of there now and not further down the road because I don't think that it's worth our time and effort to be in that situation having to deal with totally unethical people.

At least the insurance thing sounds like it's going to work out OK. Hopefully, you'll have that baby boy soon, so your six week checkup will be covered as well. Have you looked into state funded Medicaid for the boys?
It is often a blessing in disguise to be let go from a job that is just a bad situation anyways! Thats the case with my husband too. I'm so glad that it sounds like everything will be covered for the arrival your new baby. Keep your head up! :)
