The Move
We are in our new house with all our things!!!!! It's been like Christmas unpacking all of our things that have pretty much been in boxes for half a year!!!!! I forgot that I had some of the things that I have and also forgotten that I decided not to keep other things.
Me: R where is the dust buster?
R: We threw it out, remember
Me: We threw it out? Did I agree to that?
R: Yes, you were the one who said it was too disgusting to keep and that we could buy another one
Me: Oh, yeah, ok
Luckily there aren't too many exchanges like that! I did have to buy a new dust buster and new bathroom rugs today because we did indeed decide not to have them accompany us to MI.
R has been AMAZING!!!!!!! He did so much of the moving all by himself and thanks to my father, my mom and I just got to keep Little Man occupied and help here and there. We still have a lot to unpack but all of our stuff is here and we are finally in a house of our own!!!!!! It's been my dream soooooooo long. Unfortunately I haven't been able to unpack and organize as quickly as I would have like to because of school. I have about three more weeks left of one class and this week is my last week for the other class. The class that ends this week though is very time consuming because I have tons of reading and papers to write. I'm actually supposed to be doing classwork right now but I took a break to blog. I have one more article to read and then a 1-2 page paper to write summarizing the article and then a 5-7 page paper tying the whole unit together and reflecting on the scholarship of Har.ry Pott.er. I'm also going to have one more paper assigned this week as a culmination of the semester.
I better get back to work!!!!

House???
We went down to the university that R will be working for on Friday so that he could fill out all his paperwork and we could see the campus (Little Man and I have never been there). It was a very new campus and was really nice. We went to R's office and met everyone, they were all so nice. I think that it will be a nice working environment for R and they all seemed very excited that he will be starting. We have a start date of October 30th so things are moving very fast.
Later that afternoon we met my friends K and J at the house that J still owes from before they got married. K also had a house she he moved in with her and has been unable to sell his house for over a year. He's been renting and really wants to get rid of the house. It needs some TLC because renters haven't been taking spectacular care of the place but R and I really liked it. It's about 25 minutes from R's work and just enough outside of the metro city but yet still not too far. After seeing the house they took us out to dinner at their favorite restaurant. We had a nice dinner and bid our farewells.
R e-mailed an offer to J this morning after calling him and letting him know. He said he would look it over today and see if it was acceptable. We are going to go the land contract way since we wouldn't be able to get financing right now due to debt and other factors. I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear back from him to see if he's accepts our offer. Regardless we're pretty sure we're going to get the house it's just a matter of figuring out the interest rate, down payment, and amount of years. I hope we get some news soon! R has been checking e-mail all day long but no word yet.
We will be moving out of my parent's house somewhere around the first of Nov because the people who are renting the house now have paid through the end of Oct. I cannot wait to have a place of our own and to finally be able to get all of our belongings out of storage. It will be so exciting.

The Move is Complete!
Well I know I'm seriously behind on blogging and I guess it's okay since no one really reads this anyway. It took us two whole days of driving but we finally made it back to Michigan. We stopped two nights and spent the night because the drive was so hard with that huge truck and towing the car. Tonight we moved everything into a storage unit and now our last task is to return the truck tomorrow. I've been having a really hard time. Today I've been randomly crying because it's finally sitting in that this is my home now and Florida is now a vacation spot. There is so much that I didn't like about Florida but for some weird reason I feel really lost knowing that we aren't going back. I busted out crying randomly through out the day. R decided to just up and run errands about an hour away in the town where we went to college and he went by himself, which sorta ticked me off. It's really hard to feel like you are living out of a suitcase. I suppose it's going to take a little time to get things settled.
We had a special day planned on Wednesday because it's R's birthday and that plan sorta got foiled because my mom forgot that I'd asked her to watch Little Man on Wednesday because we were going to do a bunch of stuff during the day and end at a bar to celebrate R's birthday will all our friends. Also, R has a bunch of work to do because technically he's still working for his former employer. I'm beginning to feel like we are under the same roof and he's just doing his own thing and not taking our family into consideration. Also, so far he hasn't been doing his part of cleaning up after himself. He continuously chooses to do stuff at inappropriate times. For example, today he just got home and Little Man wants to play with him and he does for a little while but then starts working on the computer (something he could do after Little Man goes to bed). I haven't had any time to myself pretty much all day and yet I still don't get any when he gets home. I'm already feeling like he's not being considerate. Then he makes me feel bad and lays a guilt trip on me that I won't leave him alone long enough to get anything done. I felt like saying "maybe you should have stayed home today then." He just doesn't understand why I'm having a hard time and I have a hard time plastering a smile on my face and pretending everything is okay. My tear ducts just start flowing and I can't help it. I hope this gets easier and things work out. Well I guess I'd better go to bed because I'm going to be getting up early with Little Man.

The Days Are Ticking Down
I picked my mom up at the airport today and we leave to fly back to MI with Little Man on Thursday. I can't believe that it's already time!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm kinda starting to freak out right about now. School is almost over yet I still have to find time to pack up my room. We still have a TON to pack here and we are leaving the place that I've called home for that past 4 years. Damn I can't believe that it's been 4 years!!!
R got turned down for the job that we thought he would get so that was a little bit of a bummer, however, they called him and want him to come in a talk once we get back about other possible opportunities so the door still seems cracked, not fully open, but cracked. I've been looking every day for openings and finishing applications to school districts. My next feat is collecting my letters of recommendation. It sucks but I have to write most of my own and then the person just signs them and puts them on official letter head. No one wants to write them anymore. Hopefully we will get jobs sooner or later. It's such a pain and I have to be way too organized.
Classes are over until June 25th and July 2, that's when my two summer ones start. I so needed this two month break! I feel like I have so much more time now! I did get two 4.0's this semester and learned A GREAT DEAL!! My classes this summer are in my reading cognent so hopefully they will be more interesting, or at least more geared towards a love of mine. I'm half way done though and that's a nice feeling.
Now changing subjects....my husband's nicotine addiction. I'm fucking annoyed and I want him to stop chewing. I'm going to demand that he quit when we move to Michigan but I just have to breach the subject at the right time. He's quit before because I've made it clear that I was no longer putting up with it. My uncle had to have precancerous lesions removed from his mouth and all I could think about was R and his stupid chewing habit and how that would probably be him in 10 years. My uncle isn't even that old. I guess they were really bad too and I really don't want to have to deal with R and that shit later on in life. Ok there was my rant. Time for bed!

DONE!!!!!
I did it!!!!!!!!! I finished my first real semester of graduate school. I got a 4.0 in my first class and I won't find out about my second one for awhile. I have about a two month break and then I start two more classes. I am so proud of how much I learned this semester and not to mention how much I grew as a person. I remember back to the beginning when I was balling my eyes out to R, contemplating whether or not to drop out. Now it just seems silly because classes became second nature. It definitely was hard to get back into the swing of things though.
31 more days until we move......how CRAZY!!!!!!!! I remember when that count was over 150, time sure does fly! My mom flies down on May 17th and then I'm flying back with her and Little man. He's going up a few weeks before R and I just because it's going to be too hard to get loose ends tied up with him here and plus we need to save money on daycare. I feel really bad about this and I'm scared that he's going to get abandoment issues, but I'm praying he'll be okay. I'll be staying with him for awhile so hopefully he'll be having so much fun that he won't mind staying with grandpa and grandma at all. Well I have to get to bed.
