Homework Day

R and I have a wedding tonight down by where he works so my in laws came to watch Little man and I'm spending the day studying at a coffee place near where he works. We are meeting for lunch at 12pm so at least I'll have a little break in my day. So far I've read one chapter in my assessment book and I have one more to read before I can write my discussion and respond to my classmates. I've also started taking notes for my assessment project. I can't believe it but this class is over in 2 weeks and I have SO much to do. It's more or less a self paced class so I've been doing a moderate amount of work but putting off the bigger projects because they seemed so far in the future. Here is a list of what I have to accomplish in the next two weeks:

• Read 7 more chapters, write 3 discussions, and respond 7 times minimum to classmates
• Find 10 online resources/articles/etc... to post to a class wide discussion board and write a little summary/discussion/etc... about each one
• Complete a two page assessment project-Your Classroom Assessment Project should contain a two page description of the problem you solved, what you did to solve the problem, and what resources you used. In class, you will present your project and share information from this description.
• Complete an Professional Portfolio page on assessment-a 2 page description of your beliefs, best practices, and/or a description of how those things have changed. In class, you will present some examples or artifacts that represent your assessment beliefs, along with information from this description.

This is just for one class mind you, my other class has another set of tasks that I'm not even going to list here. One thing that I can be happy about is that I'm not stressed out about it, I'll get it done. I may be living at the library or on my computer for the next two weeks but I have complete confidence that things will be fine. This is so much different then how I would normally be reacting. Normally, I would be stressed, freaking out, driving myself insane because I had so much to do, but I refuse to allow myself to get that way because it's not healthy. I have all day today and I'm going to kick butt and get A LOT done.
